Attendees of MicroCon2019

MicroCon 2019 was a gathering of leaders and representatives of micronations that took place in Hamilton, Ontario from 19 - 21 July 2019. It was the third such conference to occur under the MicroCon banner, the first having been MicroCon 2015 in Anaheim, California, and the second, MicroCon 2017, in Atlanta, Georgia. The conference was hosted by the government of Slabovia.

Conference schedule

While the conference is scheduled to occur over the course of three days, the bulk of the structured events will be taking place on the second day, July 20th. This will be when various representatives will give presentations on a wide array of micronational topics. That evening will feature a formal dinner and gala.

The first and third days of the conference will have a more relaxed atmosphere, as many attendees will also be using them as travel days. Slabovia, the hosting nation, will be offering guided tours, and there will be time for nations to work on diplomatic relations with representatives from other micronations.

Westarctican delegation

Westarctica's Delegation to MicroCon 2019

At previous MicroCons, Westarctica was represented by Grand Duke Travis and Prince-Consort Dinny. MicroCon 2019 marked the first summit with an actual delegation. The Grand Duke later remarked that it was a relief to have some assistance in talking with members so many countries.

The Grand Duke gave a presentation on micronational conflict that highlighted the events and outcome of the Siple War. The Prime Minister's presentation was about engaging and connecting with micronational citizens.
