Mount Swan (76°58′S 143°45′W) is a mountain 4 nautical miles (7 km) south of Gutenko Nunataks in the Ford Ranges of Westarctica.
Discovery and name
Mount Swan was discovered and mapped by the United States Antarctic Service (1939–41). It was named by Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names (US-ACAN) for Paul Swan, airplane pilot with the Byrd Antarctic Expedition (1933–35).
Westarctica's Baron of Swan, Sterling MacLeod, draws the name of his title from this mountain.
