His Lordship, the Viscount of Siple, Emilio Garcia, is a member of the Peerage of Westarctica and one of Westarctica's Old Guard, having held his title since June 2004, prior to the creation of Westarctica, itself. A native of Spain, the Viscount undertook a translation of Westarctica's official website from English to Spanish for which he was granted his title.

Mediatization of the title

Originally, the Viscounty of Siple included the entirety of Siple Island, however, following the end of the Siple War, Grand Duke Travis decided to mediatize the title in 2012, placing the Viscounty under the authority of the newly-created Prince of Siple, Grand Duke Niels of Flandrensis.

This was done as out of political convenience to the government to help it abide by the terms of the West-Antarctic Treaty.
