==Removal of second title for the Duke of Sherman==
I removed the second title listing for the Duke of Sherman. Those of us with multiple Westarctican titles (Dukes Ravencroft, Sherman, Moulton-Berlin, Bear Peninsula, Count of Goldstream, and Baron of Lee-Tearmun) only have our highest title listed. If the highest title was our first, there is no mention of secondary ones. == The photo ==

I'd like to suggest that we switch out the current photo collage of some of our "peers". While those pictured are, of course, Westarctican peers, the collage does very little to convey the idea of peerage in Westarctica (at an ideal level, anyway). I like the idea of showing a person/ people either in formal suits and ties (as many of the actual peers of Great Britain are pictured in their Wikipedia articles) or else showing a person/ people in some form of royal "garb" analogous to the various uniforms worn by the Grand Duke in his portraits. I don't think we should use a picture of the Grand Duke, however, as the peers are meant to be the collective of nobles ''beneath'' him. If we are going to show a person or people, and at the risk of sounding over-self-promotional, I'd like to propose that we use the picture of me in my jabot and white gloves here— actually, what I would ''prefer'' is to have a collection of photos of individual peers in similar costume, but it seems we are somewhat short on those. At any rate, the current photo doesn't do anything to sell Westarctica, and I am of the strong opinion that we should change it to something else (may no one take offense at the suggestion— I truly wish only to improve the article!). Some sort of symbol would also be fine in my book, and I don't want the picture of me to get too much air time anyway. Thoughts, gentlemen? While I personally preferred the collage, I'm not the final authority. That said, changing them out to use the British ducal coronet instead is a step in the wrong direction. If we want to make a move like this, we should utilize the Westarctican blue-felted coronet. ==Photo Edit Suggestions==
Ideally, we'd have a group photo of our peers in their courtly dress. Since that's not likely to happen anytime soon, a collage is our second-best solution. The concept behind a collage of our peers is showing that, unlike the ancient European peerage systems, we are inclusive and confer titles upon anyone who is deserving irrespective of race, gender, age, or anything else. I personally feel a collage does a lot to convey our philosophy behind awarding peerages and is a quick way for anyone to see that it's not meant to be an "exclusive club" that keeps some out and others in. If anything, we can update it with new pictures of more recent additions to the peerage. [[User:Westarctica]] 9 February 2021

::You MIGHT get six Westarctican nobles to put on and have themselves photographed professionally or semi-professionally in SOME kind of courtly dress, even if this dress were inconsistent with regard to style or time period or place. Hoping for this dress to have temporal or stylistic consistency will make the whole idea a wash. What we are left with instead is a guy in a wrinkled short sleeved shirt on a farm somewhere, some other dude maybe in a bar in a button-up T, a scowling mug-shot for an employee ID badge, a woman in a spaghetti strap dress who didn't know the picture was even being taken, Dinny in a white and red leather racing jacket and shades, and then the only picture that looks like it MIGHT belong here, which I think is the counsel for Spain. The combination is visually weird. It makes sense in that these are our peers, but it also makes NO sense visually, a thing which seems like it should be given some importance. Nothing about the image would make me want to join such a motley crew. But my interest in hoping for change/ improvement on this front grows weary. No call for new pictures has gone out, I have no authority to make one, my attempt to change the image to a different one was reverted, and so we are stuck with what we've got, which is, honestly, embarrassing. His Lordship, '''Viscount Boschert''', '''Shane Keith Warne''' (13 September 1969 – 4 March 2022) was a member of the [[Peerage of Westarctica]] from 2019 until his death in 2022. He is best known for his long and successful career as an Australian cricketer.

==Career as a cricketer==
Warne played his first Test match in 1992 and took more than 1,000 wickets in Tests and One Day Internationals (ODIs). Warne's 708 Test wickets was the record for the most wickets taken by any bowler in Test cricket until 2007. He was named one of the Wisden Cricketers of the Year in the 1994 Wisden Cricketers' Almanack, and was the Wisden Leading Cricketer in the World in 1997 and 2004. A useful lower-order batsman, Warne scored more than 3,000 Test runs, with a highest score of 99, and remains the highest Test runscorer without a century. As well as playing internationally, Warne played domestic cricket for his home state of Victoria and English domestic cricket for Hampshire. He was captain of Hampshire for three seasons from 2005 to 2007. Warne retired from international cricket in January 2007 at the end of Australia's 2006–07 Ashes series victory over England.

In 2007, Warne was named in Australia's greatest ever ODI team. He played in the first four seasons (2008–2011) of the Indian Premier League for the Rajasthan Royals, where he played the roles of both captain and coach, winning the competition in 2008. In the 150th anniversary of the Wisden Cricketers' Almanack, Warne was named in an all-time Test World XI. In 2012, he was also inducted into the Cricket Hall of Fame by Cricket Australia. In 2013, Warne was inducted into the ICC Cricket Hall of Fame. In February 2018, the Rajasthan Royals appointed Warne as their team mentor for the IPL 2018.

His career was plagued by scandals off the field, including a ban from cricket for testing positive for a prohibited substance, charges of bringing the game into disrepute with the John the bookmaker controversy and sexual indiscretions.

Warne revolutionised cricket thinking with his mastery of leg spin, which had come to be regarded as a dying art. After retirement, he regularly worked as a cricket commentator, predominantly on Australia's Nine Network. He worked for charitable organizations and also endorsed commercial products. In recognition of his skill, a statue of him bowling was placed outside the Melbourne Cricket Ground.

==Involvement with Westarctica==

In December 2019, Andrew Barnett (better known as Barney), a comedian appearing on Fox Sports, decided to gift Warne with the title Viscount of [[Boschert Glacier|Boschert]] during a national telecast on Australian television. Barnett urgently requested the title certificate and welcome package in time for a deadline of 21 December 2019, when Warne was scheduled to appear on Fox Sports Australia.

The package arrived on time and Shane was properly invested with his title during a live broadcast. Barnett took a moment to explain the concept of [[Westarctica]] to Warne and even showed him a picture of [[Grand Duke Travis]] while on air, referring to His Royal Highness as a "good-looking rooster."

On 4 March 2022, at the age of 52, Warne died of a suspected heart attack while holidaying on the island Ko Samui, Thailand. Warne became the first member of the [[Peerage of Westarctica]] to pass away.

Captain-General of Calsahara

The '''Captain-General of Calsahara''' is the military governor of the [[Colony of Calsahara]]. The position answers directly to the [[Grand Duke of Westarctica]] and has overall responsibility for the administration and management of the Colony.

The current Captain-General is [[Captain-General Kramer|Damien Kramer]].

==Creation of office==
On 29 October 2017, [[Grand Duke Travis]] led the [[Westarctican Royal Guards]] across the border of the [[Seven Seas of Rhye]] and [[Invasion of Calsahara|liberated Calsahara]] from the negligent rule of its absentee government led by [[Prince Daniel Nicholas|King Nicholas]] and [[Marquise of Walgreen|Grand Chancellor Arledge]].

After King Nicholas was unseated from his throne, he was elevated to the position of Viceroy of Calsahara, the representative of the Crown of Westarctica in Calsahara. To help maintain good order and balance out the power of the Viceroy, the Grand Duke also appointed a military governor with the rank of Captain-General.

A major part of the Captain-General's duties include signing and stamping all grants of Manorial Rights in the [[Colonial Estates]].

==Activities of office holders==
Thus far, three individuals have served in the post of Captain-General of Calsahara.

===Captain-General Ciani===
The first to hold the position of Captain-General of Calsahara was [[Captain-General Ciani|Rocco Ciani]], a member of the Westarctican Royal Guards who participated in the liberation of Calsahara and was responsible for capturing the flag of Calsahara from Montague Square in [[Otisburg]].

After serving in the position for one year, Ciani was honorably retired and returned to his regular rank as a Corporal.

===Captain-General Schroeder===
The second Captain-General of Calsahara was the [[Count of Dendtler]], who assumed the post on 15 November 2018. He visited his territory on only one occasion, but helped to expand Montague Square and led an animal rescue in [[Hooverville]] in 2020. He was retired from the post in 2021.

===Captain-General Kramer===
The incumbent Captain-General is [[Captain-General Kramer|Damien Kramer]], who was appointed to the post after serving as a lieutenant in the [[Westarctican Royal Guards]]. Though now holding the official office, he has yet to receive the symbolic saber which accompanies this, though it but awaits his request and presence.

The '''2022 Sydney Diplomatic Dinner''' was a diplomatic event that occurred on 24 May 2022 in Sydney, Australia. The event saw the gathering of the Heads of State of three prominent [[micronation]]s: [[Atlantium]], the [[Principality of Wy]], and [[Westarctica]].

==Event==
The dinner was organized by [[Emperor George II of Atlantium]] to introduce several academics from New South Wales to [[Grand Duke Travis]], who was visiting Australia. The team of professors from the University of New South Wales and the University of Technology Sydney had recently written a book about micronations and were keen to learn more prior to the publication of their second book. Also invited was Prince Paul of Wy, an artist and one of Australia's most beloved micronationalists. A total of seven people were in attendance, including [[Prince-Consort Dinny]].

Dinner occurred at the upscale O Bar and Dining, a rotating restaurant on the 47th floor of the tower in Australia Square in Sydney's Central Business District. Two courses were served and the dignitaries enjoyed three bottles of chilled white wine. During dinner, many subjects of micronational interest were discussed, including histories and current affairs. There was much interest in the details surrounding the upcoming [[MicroCon 2022]] and the future [[MicroCon 2023]].

==Post-dinner honors==

Following dinner, Grand Duke Travis presented his fellow monarchs with several honors. Emperor George was knighted as a Knight of the [[Order of the Orca]] and as a Knight Grand Commander in the [[Order of the Snowflake]]. Prince Paul was given the [[Order of the Desert Heart]] in recognition of his artistic achievements and made a Companion in the [[Noble Order of Westarctica]].

After the awards were bestowed, the group descended the tower into Australia Square, where they posed for pictures on the red carpet before bidding one another farewell and retiring for the evening.

The [[Baron]] of Lee-Tearmunn remained in the post only a short while, but participated in the creation of the [[Royal Officer Corps]].

==Retirement from the government==
In early 2006, just weeks before Grand Duke Travis abdicated the throne, the Baron asked to be relieved from his duties so he could begin his own [[micronation]] known as the Principality of Jerusalem. As of 2022, no information about this micronation was available.

In 2012, Grand Duke Travis reached out to Lee-Tearmunn to inquire about the possibility of returning to service in the [[Royal Council|cabinet of Westarctica]]. However, the Baron respectfully declined the offer due to his commitments as Prince of Jerusalem.

==Discovery and name==
The nunatak was discovered and mapped by the United States [[Antarctic]] Service. Lewisohn Nunatak was named by the Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names in honor of Walter P. Lewisohn, who served as a radio operator with the Byrd Antarctic Expedition from 1933–35.

==Geologic composition==
Although the nunatak has not been visited by a geologic expedition, two samples taken from the nearby Mackay Mountains indicate that the nunatak is most likely a Swanson Formation unconformity comprised of quartzite, biotite schist, phyllite, and slate dating to the upper Precambrian-lower Paleozoic age.

==Peerage title==
On 11 December 2020, [[Steven John Shi]] was granted the [[Peerage of Westarctica|peerage title]] Baron of Lewisohn. His title is named for this feature.

His Lordship held two positions on the [[Royal Council]]: [[Minister of Commerce]] and [[Commissioner of the Treasury]] before resigning from both offices in March 2021.

The [[Count]] has been an extremely active member of the [[Royal Council]] and was responsible for designing Westarctica's first paper currency, the [[Ice mark]]. His Lordship was appointed to the position of [[Commissioner of the Treasury]] with responsibility for managing the [[Central Bank of Westarctica]] on behalf of the Crown.

As Minister of Information, the Count's primary duty was to help populate [[Encyclopedia Westarctica]] with articles and he was instrumental in creating the first 500 articles in the wiki. Despite no longer holding the Minister of Information post, he still maintains some responsibility over the wiki as a Senior Admin.

His Lordship served as Minister of Information for just over a year from 2018 - 2019, when he was transferred to the post of [[Minister of Commerce]] to oversee [[Westarctica|Westarctica's]] retail product offerings. Due to heavy rains during the previous year, the entire square had become completely overgrown with thick patches of needlegrass. These sharp needle-like spurs had to be carefully removed so the bricks of the square would be visible again. Once the square was cleaned up, the Count supervised the laying of new paver stones, effectively doubling the size of Montague Square.

During an inspection tour of [[Hooverville]], the Count noticed a large crow trapped on a piece of twine inside the rafters of the dilapidated building. Without regard for his own safety, the Count climbed up into rafters and spent approximately three minutes cutting the twine with a shard of broken glass. The crow was freed from the twine and left in peace to recover from its ordeal. This animal rescue operation also confirmed the presence of a white barn owl living inside Hooverville in the same roost as the crow.

When he first became Minister of Commerce, the Count was entrusted with the [[Great Seal of Westarctica]], a sterling silver signet ring and part of the [[Crown jewels of Westarctica]] bearing the emblems of the McHenry family crest, which is used to attach the wax seal and ribbon of Westarctica's letters patent. At some point between December 8 and December 15 of 2020, while the Count was traveling out of state, an unknown individual removed this ring and several other small valuable personal objects from the Count's home. A police report was filed, and inquiries were made at local pawn shops, though these produced no results. For his failure to report the theft in a timely manner and for replacing the lost ring with a functional duplicate at his own expense without informing the Grand Duke, the Count was retired from his civic duties and offices, including that of Captain-General of Calsahara, though allowed to retain his noble titles. The ring has never been recovered.

The '''Holy Kingdom of Faerghus''' was founded on February 25, 2007, the birthday of its sovereign, Ben I. Its establishment reflects his majesty’s interest in the global micronationalist community. As a graduate student at Wichita State University, the king (Bennie Lee Ferguson) authored a Master’s thesis entitled “What Is a Nation: The Micronationalist Challenge…,” one of the few serious academic words addressing the legitimate political, legal and cultural issues encompassed by the micronationalist phenomenon. The kingdom’s establishment was in part, an attempt by Ferguson to interact with other contemporary micronationalists as one of their own.

The Kingdom of Fergus was originally located on a parcel of land on the outskirts of the city of Hutchinson, Kansas in the United States, which Ferguson inherited from a woman named Alberta, the late Queen Mother. In September of 2012, the kingdom annexed territory on the banks of the Arkansas River which became the Queen’s Tryst Protectorate. The Fergusian state experimented with various government instruments, including a prototype monetary unit called the Davelar, as well as plans to mint specie, produce postage stamps, and issue passports. A flag was chosen which features the traditional Scottish Ferguson family coat of arms and the motto, “Dulcius ex Asperis” (“Sweeter after Difficulties”).

'''MicroCon 2022''' is a [[micronation]]al event that will occur August 5 - 7, 2022 at Sam's Town Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. It will be the fourth conference to be held under the [[MicroCon]] banner. The event had initially been planned for Summer of 2021, but was delayed due to the global COVID-19 pandemic. It will be hosted [[Westarctica]].

==Background==
Following the closed door sessions between [[Republic of Molossia|Molossia]], [[Kingdom of Ruritania|Ruritania]], and [[Slabovia]] during [[MicroCon 2017]], it was decided that an organizing committee should be created to vet and approve any future events that use the MicroCon brand. This committee would be comprised of current and past hosts of MicroCons and give approval by voting on proposals received from hopeful hosts.

Immediately following MicroCon 2017, [[Grand Duke Travis]] and [[King Timothy of Shiloh]] discussed the possibility of jointly hosting a summit in Las Vegas, Nevada. Vegas was selected due to its cheap flights, wide array of hotel options, and first class entertainment. Grand Duke Travis wrote the proposal and submitted it to the MicrCon committee in May 2019. It was approved two months later while the Grand Duke happened to be in Vegas with the [[Prince-Consort Dinny|Prince-Consort]]. The official announcement that [[Westarctica]] would be serving as host and the location of Las Vegas was announced by [[King George II of Slabovia]] at the conclusion of [[MicroCon 2019]] to great fanfare from the audience.

By the end of 2021, Shiloh had stepped back from planning the event leaving Westarctica to have sole hosting duties.

All of its provinces were fully surrounded by the United States of America and the Province of Citrus Grove is bordered partially in the West by the Austenasian Territory of Campo Del Sol.

The Republic of Nordale seceded from the United States in June of 2019, but the exact secession date has been lost due to civil strife within the nation which compromised many of its records during its formative days. Following a period of inactivity following what is referred to by the nation as the Emergency Period, it was announced by Premier Sophia Albina that all prior Citizens were to be stripped of citizenship and that the Constitution was temporarily suspended. On 28 Prarial 228 (16 June 2020), the Directorate announced the passing of the Reinstatement Act of the Constitution of 2020, officially reconstituting the nation and beginning a new era in Nordalian history. On 4 Ventôse 229 (22 February 2021), the Republic of Nordale was annexed into the Commonwealth of New Virginia, divided into several new municipalities within the Commonwealth.

The current King is Philip Joseph Pillin who ascended to the throne in 2005 succeeding his mother-in-law Queen Anita who was the first queen and sovereign of the nation and had reigned between 2000 and 2005. The government follows the parliamentary form and the Prime Minister serves as the head of government of the nation. The current Prime Minister is Mr. Ziobert. Members of the royal family, the Crown Prince, and Prince Phillip Joseph Pillin also serve as members of the council of ministers. The legislature is known as the Senate which is comprised of five members.

The Kingdom of Pibocip is "rooted in the Social Contract Theory, Catholic Social Teaching, and practiced using the Principle of Subsidiarity. The Kingdom stands with all those who are marginalized or oppressed in their society, while desiring to promote truth, justice, freedom, peace, and love to all people."

The '''Count of Dendtler''' is a [[Peerage of Westarctica|noble peer]] who has served in several roles in the [[Government of Westarctica]]. His Lordship held two positions on the [[Royal Council]]: [[Minister of Commerce]] and [[Commissioner of the Treasury]] before resigning from both offices in March 2021.

==Activities==
The [[Count]] has been an extremely active member of the [[Royal Council]] and was responsible for designing Westarctica's first paper currency, the [[Ice mark]]. His Lordship was appointed to the position of [[Commissioner of the Treasury]] with responsibility for managing the [[Central Bank of Westarctica]] on behalf of the Crown.

As Minister of Information, the Count's primary duty was to help populate [[Encyclopedia Westarctica]] with articles and he was instrumental in creating the first 500 articles in the wiki. Despite no longer holding the Minister of Information post, he still maintains some responsibility over the wiki as a Senior Admin.

His Lordship served as Minister of Information for just over a year from 2018 - 2019, when he was transferred to the post of [[Minister of Commerce]] to oversee [[Westarctica|Westarctica's]] retail product offerings. As part of his new responsibilities, the Count was given possession of the Great Seal of Westarctica and was granted the honorific of Keeper of the Seal. In this capacity, His Lordship was responsible for personally sealing all Letters Patent that are granted to new peers.

On 22 November 2020, the Count was commissioned as a Lieutenant (O-1) in the Naval Detachment of the [[Westarctican Royal Guards]]. He served with distinction as a Helm officer onboard the WS ''Endurance'' spaceship bridge simulator during [[Exercise: MOSTLY HARMLESS]] with military forces from [[Slabovia]] and the Aerican Empire.

===As Captain-General of Calsahara and removal of offices===
In 2018, the Count was appointed to the post of [[Captain-General of Calsahara]], the military governor of Calsahara.

Although the Count only visited his domain in the [[Colony of Calsahara]] on one occasion, he provided several invaluable services during that trip. The first was the dramatic expansion and renovation of Montague Square in the Capital city of [[Otisburg]]. Due to heavy rains during the previous year, the entire square had become completely overgrown with thick patches of needlegrass. These sharp needle-like spurs had to be carefully removed so the bricks of the square would be visible again. Once the square was cleaned up, the Count supervised the laying of new paver stones, effectively doubling the size of Montague Square.

During an inspection tour of [[Hooverville]], the Count noticed a large crow trapped on a piece of twine inside the rafters of the dilapidated building. Without regard for his own safety, the Count climbed up into rafters and spent approximately three minutes cutting the twine with a shard of broken glass. The crow was freed from the twine and left in peace to recover from its ordeal. This animal rescue operation also confirmed the presence of a white barn owl living inside Hooverville in the same roost as the crow.

When he first became Minister of Commerce, the Count was entrusted with the Great Seal of Westarctica, a sterling silver signet ring and part of the [[Crown jewels of Westarctica]] bearing the emblems of the McHenry family crest, which is used to attach the wax seal and ribbon of Westarctica's letters patent. At some point between December 8 and December 15 of 2020, while the Count was traveling out of state, an unknown individual removed this ring and several other small valuable personal objects from the Count's home. A police report was filed, and inquiries were made at local pawn shops, though these produced no results. For his failure to report the theft in a timely manner and for replacing the lost ring with a functional duplicate at his own expense without informing the Grand Duke, the Count was retired from his civic duties and offices, including that of Captain-General of Calsahara, though allowed to retain his noble titles. The ring has never been recovered.

==Titles==
The count was first granted the [[courtesy title]] Baron of Bastanchury, one of only two peerage titles in the [[Nobility of Calsahara]] that is not held by [[Grand Duke Travis]].

In 2020, after two years of faithful service, he was granted the [[Peerage of Westarctica|Westarctican title]] Count of Dendtler, so-named for [[Dendtler Island]]. This island is located on the extreme eastern border of Westarctica and its sovereignty is divided between Westarctica and the [[Chilean Antarctic Territory]].

On 20 April 2020, in recognition of his excellent service as [[Minister of Commerce]], the Count was granted the additional title Viscount Kirby, named for [[Kirby Cone]].

Although disgraced, the Count retains his landholdings within Westarctica; he no longer holds civic office.

On 29 October 2017, [[Grand Duke Travis]] led the [[Westarctican Royal Guards]] across the border of the [[Seven Seas of Rhye]] and [[Invasion of Calsahara|liberated Calsahara]] from the negligent rule of its absentee government led by [[Prince Daniel Nicholas|King Nicholas]] and [[Marquise of Walgreen|Grand Chancellor Arledge]].

After King Nicholas was unseated from his throne, he was elevated to the position of Viceroy of Calsahara, the representative of the Crown of Westarctica in Calsahara. To help maintain good order and balance out the power of the Viceroy, the Grand Duke also appointed a military governor with the rank of Captain-General.

A major part of the Captain-General's duties include signing and stamping all grants of Manorial Rights in the [[Colonial Estates]].

The '''Count of Dendtler''' is a [[Peerage of Westarctica|noble peer]] who has served in several roles in the [[Government of Westarctica]]. His Lordship held two positions on the [[Royal Council]]: [[Minister of Commerce]] and [[Commissioner of the Treasury]] before resigning from both offices in March 2021.

==Activities==
The [[Count]] has been an extremely active member of the [[Royal Council]] and was responsible for designing Westarctica's first paper currency, the [[Ice mark]]. His Lordship was appointed to the position of [[Commissioner of the Treasury]] with responsibility for managing the [[Central Bank of Westarctica]] on behalf of the Crown.

As Minister of Information, the Count's primary duty was to help populate [[Encyclopedia Westarctica]] with articles and he was instrumental in creating the first 500 articles in the wiki. Despite no longer holding the Minister of Information post, he still maintains some responsibility over the wiki as a Senior Admin.

His Lordship served as Minister of Information for just over a year from 2018 - 2019, when he was transferred to the post of [[Minister of Commerce]] to oversee [[Westarctica|Westarctica's]] retail product offerings. As part of his new responsibilities, the Count was given possession of the Great Seal of Westarctica and was granted the honorific of Keeper of the Seal. In this capacity, His Lordship was responsible for personally sealing all Letters Patent that are granted to new peers.

On 22 November 2020, the Count was commissioned as a Lieutenant (O-1) in the Naval Detachment of the [[Westarctican Royal Guards]]. He served with distinction as a Helm officer onboard the WS ''Endurance'' spaceship bridge simulator during [[Exercise: MOSTLY HARMLESS]] with military forces from [[Slabovia]] and the Aerican Empire.

===As Captain-General of Calsahara and removal of offices===
In 2018, the Count was appointed to the post of [[Captain-General of Calsahara]], the military governor of Calsahara.

Although the Count only visited his domain in the [[Colony of Calsahara]] on one occasion, he provided several invaluable services during that trip. The first was the dramatic expansion and renovation of Montague Square in the Capital city of [[Otisburg]]. Due to heavy rains during the previous year, the entire square had become completely overgrown with thick patches of needlegrass. These sharp needle-like spurs had to be carefully removed so the bricks of the square would be visible again. Once the square was cleaned up, the Count supervised the laying of new paver stones, effectively doubling the size of Montague Square.

During an inspection tour of [[Hooverville]], the Count noticed a large crow trapped on a piece of twine inside the rafters of the dilapidated building. Without regard for his own safety, the Count climbed up into rafters and spent approximately three minutes cutting the twine with a shard of broken glass. The crow was freed from the twine and left in peace to recover from its ordeal. This animal rescue operation also confirmed the presence of a white barn owl living inside Hooverville in the same roost as the crow.

When he first became Minister of Commerce, the Count was entrusted with the Great Seal of Westarctica, a sterling silver signet ring and part of the [[Crown jewels of Westarctica]] bearing the emblems of the McHenry family crest, which is used to attach the wax seal and ribbon of Westarctica's letters patent. At some point between December 8 and December 15 of 2020, while the Count was traveling out of state, an unknown individual removed this ring and several other small valuable personal objects from the Count's home. A police report was filed, and inquiries were made at local pawn shops, though these produced no results. For his failure to report the theft in a timely manner and for replacing the lost ring with a functional duplicate at his own expense without informing the Grand Duke, the Count was retired from his civic duties and offices, including that of Captain-General of Calsahara, though allowed to retain his noble titles. The ring has never been recovered.

==Titles==
The count was first granted the [[courtesy title]] Baron of Bastanchury, one of only two peerage titles in the [[Nobility of Calsahara]] that is not held by [[Grand Duke Travis]].

In 2020, after two years of faithful service, he was granted the [[Peerage of Westarctica|Westarctican title]] Count of Dendtler, so-named for [[Dendtler Island]]. This island is located on the extreme eastern border of Westarctica and its sovereignty is divided between Westarctica and the [[Chilean Antarctic Territory]].

On 20 April 2020, in recognition of his excellent service as [[Minister of Commerce]], the Count was granted the additional title Viscount Kirby, named for [[Kirby Cone]].

Although disgraced, the Count retains his landholdings within Westarctica and no longer holds civic office.
