==Discovery and name==&lt;br /&gt;
The ridge was discovered in 1934 on aerial flights of the Byrd Antarctic Expedition. Asman Ridge was named by the United States [[Antarctic]] Service in honor of Adam Asman, a member of the USAS West Base party.&lt;br /&gt;
