==Mapping and name==&lt;br /&gt;
The bluff was mapped by the United States [[Antarctic]] Service (USAS) during the years 1939–41 under the direction of Rear Admiral [[Richard E. Byrd]]. Demas Bluff was named in honor of Dr. Charles J. Demas, who provided medical assistance and supplies for the Byrd Antarctic Expedition (1933–35) and for the U.S. Antarctic Service.&lt;br /&gt;
