The most notable of these is the ongoing "War on [[Whaling]]," which is an awareness and letter-writing campaign against the [[Whaling in Japan|illegal Japanese whaling]] that takes place in the [[Southern Ocean]] Sanctuary, a designated whale sanctuary in the waters surrounding [[Antarctica]].
