			In 2012, as part of the effort to maintain peace in Western Antarctica, [[Grand Duke Travis]] granted the title Prince of Siple to Niels. This gives him authority over [[Siple Island]] and makes him a royal prince in the [[Hereditary Nobility of Westarctica]]. By the same token, Niels returned the gesture by granting Travis the title Baron of Flandrensis. In this way, both leaders are jointly members of each other's nations.
