==Discovery and name==
The glacier was mapped by the United States Geological Survey from surveys and [[U.S. Navy]] air photos taken during the years 1959–65. It was named by the Advisory Committee on [[Antarctic]] Names in honor of Thomas R. Horrall, a United States Antarctic Research Program and a University of Wisconsin glaciologist and engineer with the [[Marie Byrd Land]] Survey party, 1963–64. He also conducted aeromagnetic surveys in [[Marie Byrd Land|West Antarctica]] during the 1965-66 research season.

==Peerage title==
On 19 August 2019, Christopher Sabatino was granted the [[Peerage of Westarctica|life peerage]] title Baron of Horrall, so-named for this glacier.
