==History==
The Ministry of Education was created on 16 May 2019 after several months of discussion between [[Duke of the Bear Peninsula|Prime Minister Jordan Farmer]] and [[Grand Duke Travis]]. The Grand Duke had been looking for someone to assume responsibility for education programs ever since the creation of the [[Honorary Consul Training Program]].

Ms. Jama Jenkins was invited to join the [[Government of Westarctica]] as Minister of Education on 16 May 2019 and accepted the appointment on the same day.
