It was discovered and mapped by the United States Antarctic Service. Mount Crow was named by the Advisory Committee on [[Antarctic]] Names in honor of Lieutenant J.L. Crow, MC, U.S. Navy, who served as the officer in charge at [[Byrd Station]] in 1963.
