==Discovery and name==
The [[nunatak]]s were discovered by the United States [[Antarctic]] Service in aerial flights over this area in 1940, and named for Raymond O'Connor, a member of the West Base of the USAS (1939–41).

==Peerage title==
On 17 January 2019, Margit Leitner was granted the [[Peerage of Westarctica|life peerage]] Baroness O'Conner in recognition of her support of Westarctica.
