==Discovery and name==
The ridge was mapped by United States Geological Survey from surveys and [[U.S. Navy]] air photos taken from 1959-65. It was named by Advisory Committee on [[Antarctic]] Names for Warren Reynolds, U.S. Dept. of State, who assisted in work on the [[Antarctic Treaty]] in 1959.

The [[Peerage of Westarctica|peerage title]] Viscount of Reynolds was originally given to [[First Viscount of Reynolds|Justin Rich]] on 1 October 2004. Justin had become a citizen of the [[Achaean Territory of Antarctica]] just days prior to the passing of the [[Grand Ducal Mandate]] which re-formed the territory into the [[sovereignty|sovereign state]] of Westarctica.

The first Viscount was [[disbarment|stripped of his title]] by [[Grand Duke Travis]] on 21 February 2005 due to his "lack of ability." In a rare move, Justin was not sentenced to exile, but was forbidden from ever holding a peerage title again.
