==Discovery and name==&lt;br /&gt;
The pass was mapped by the United States Geological Survey from [[U.S. Navy]] aerial photographs taken in 1966. Webster Pass was named by the Advisory Committee on [[Antarctic]] Names  in 1977 after William O. Webster, U.S. Navy who served as an aerographer on seven Operation Deepfreeze deployments, including one winter-over.&lt;br /&gt;
