The Weikman Nunataks were first mapped by the United States [[Antarctic]] Service during the 1939-41 season. They were named by the Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names for Edward R. Weikman Jr., a [[U.S. Navy]] Construction Mechanic 2nd Class at [[Byrd Station]] in 1967.&lt;br /&gt;
