Storfallet Glacier

The Storfallet is a large and very steep glacier slope on the southeast coast of Peter I Island. The glacier runs from Lars Christensen Peak at an elevation of 176 meters in a south-easterly direction between Vestryggen and Austryggen to the Vostok coast.

Name

The word storfallet is a Norwegian word meaning "large slope." Scientists from the Norwegian Polar Institute named the glacier in 1987.
