His Lordship, the Viscount Atwood, is a member of the Peerage of Westarctica and the Captain of the Westarctican Royal Guards. He formerly held the titles "Prince Patrick" and "Earl of Downington" in the Kingdom of Scone micronation. As a Prince of the Realm, he was second in line to inherit the Sconnish throne.

Sconnish Diplomat

He was previously a noble and diplomat in the Kingdom of Scone, and served as Scone's Ambassador to Westarctica from 2018 - 2020, being the longest-serving diplomat to hold that post. During this time, he became close friends with Grand Duke Travis and the two met for the first time during a diplomatic meeting in Bakersfield, California in 2019. At the conclusion of their meeting, he was honored as a Knight Commander in the Order of the Snowflake in recognition of his skill in diplomacy and his service to Scone.

Involvement with Westarctica

After resigning from his post in Scone, His Lordship became more involved with Westarctican affairs and began serving as an unofficial advisor to Grand Duke Travis.

He attended MicroCon 2022 as a member of Westarctica's delegation. For his assistance with setting up and managing the event, he was knighted as a Companion in the Noble Order of Westarctica and as a Knight in the Order of the Polar Cross. Prime Minister Farmer awarded him the Prime Minister challenge coin in recognition of his efforts to make MicroCon a success.

As part of the 2022 Anniversary Honors, he was granted the title Viscount Atwood, so named for Mount Atwood.

Service with the Royal Guards

Shortly after MicroCon, he joined the Westarctican Royal Guards with the rank of lieutenant. Due to the ongoing war against the micronation of Raphania, the Viscount was promoted to the rank of major and appointed Captain of the Guards on 9 November 2022.
