Since 2005, [[President Kevin Baugh]] of [[Molossia]] has been an important ally and advisor to [[Grand Duke Travis]], both in his role as [[Grand Duke of Westarctica]] and during his time as the [[King of Calsahara]], prior to its [[Invasion of Calsahara|2017 annexation]] and rebirth as a [[Colony of Calsahara|colony of Westarctica]].

The title Grand Duke of Westarctica was created by Travis McHenry in June 2004 as part of the transition of the Achaean Territory from a new country project to a sovereign nation. The legal basis for the creation of the title is found in the Grand Ducal Mandate, as well as the Achaean Royal Charter.
