The Gillett Nunataks (75°48′S 114°43′W) are two mainly snow-covered nunataks at the east end of Spitz Ridge near Nicholson Rock in the Toney Mountain massif.
Discovery and name
These nunataks were mapped by the US Geologic Survey from surveys and United States Navy air photos collected during the years 1959–66. The Gillett Nunataks were named by the Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names in honor of Richard D. Gillett, RM1, United States Navy, who served as a Radioman at the South Pole Station in 1974.
