Within days of being appointed to the post of Commissioner, Ms. Barton began putting her signature on Corps members' certificates, as well as handling the shipping of welcome packs. She officially stepped down from this role in February 2021.
 
Jessica attended [[MicroCon 2023]] as a member of Westarctica's official delegation. During the event, she was honored as a Dame of the [[Order of the Snowflake]] in recognition of her many years of service to the government.
