Constitutional Amendments
Constitutional Amendments are any changes made to the Westarctican Constitution. They are one of the four primary Laws of Westarctica.
Purpose of amendments
The Constitution of Westarctica is the supreme law of the land and may only be updated through the passage of Constitutional Amendments. The process for proposing and passing amendments is outlined in the constitution itself and is done during a Constitutional Convention. The first such amendment, CA-2021-001, was passed after the Second Constitutional Convention on 8 February 2021.
All laws must be built around the constitution, and any perceived discrepancies will defer to the constitution.
Naming conventions
Constitutional Amendments carry the prefix CA, and are numbered sequentially by the year created (i.e. CA-2020-001).
