A Proclamation of Titleage is a legal document by which means the Grand Duke may grant a hereditary title to an individual. Such proclamations are often accompanied by a map showing the specific Westarctican region for which the title was named.

It should not be confused with Courtesy titles, which are issued in a similar manner.

Seals used

The proclamations may or may not be stamped with the Great Seal of Westarctica or the Seal of the Grand Duke; it may also bear both seals.

Starting on 20 May 2019, all Proclamations of Titleage are stamped by the Grand Duke using the Privy Seal.

Record-keeping

All Proclamations of Titleage created after 2010 are saved in the government's national repository for verification of authenticity.
