Hutt Peak (76°1′S 132°39′W) is a small but sharply rising snow-covered peak that rises above the general level of the central part of the Mount Bursey massif in Westarctica.
Discovery and name
It was mapped by the United States Geological Survey from ground surveys and U.S. Navy air photos taken during the 1959–66 research seasons. Hutt Peak was named by the Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names in honor of Charles R. Hutt who served with the U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey as a geomagnetist-seismologist at the South Pole Station in 1970.
