Vornberger Glacier (73°55′S 125°4′W) is a glacier about 10 nautical miles (18 km) long draining the north side of Siple Island along the Armour Peninsula.
Name
In January 2003, the Vornberger Glacier was named by the Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names in honor of Patricia Vornberger, a NASA scientist who specialized in field and remotely sensed data studies of ice motion in West Antarctica from the 1980s to the present.
Noble title
On 21 July 2019, Frank-Michael Mueller was granted the peerage title Baron of Vornberger in recognition of his support of Westarctica.
