Asher Peak is a peak 2,480 meters (8,140 ft) high in the southwest portion of Mount Flint in the McCuddin Mountains of Westarctica.

Discovery and name

The peak was mapped by the United States Geological Survey from surveys and from U.S. Navy air photos collected during the years 1959–65. Asher Peak was named by the Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names in honor of Bill F. Asher, U.S. Navy, who worked as a Senior Chief Construction Electrician at Little America V in 1958. He was also the Nuclear Power Plant Operator and Instrument Maintenance Supervisor with the nuclear power unit at McMurdo Station in 1969.
