A Proclamation of Titleage is a legal document by which means the Grand Duke may grant a hereditary title to an individual. Such proclamations are often accompanied by a map showing the specific Westarctican region for which the title was named. It may or may not bear the wax Seal of Westarctica or the Seal of the Grand Duke; it may also bear both seals.

All Proclamations of Titleage created after 2010 are saved in the government's national repository for verification of authenticity.

It should not be confused with Courtesy titles, which are issued in a similar manner.
