His Lordship, the Count of Ward, Miles Ward, is a member of the Peerage of Westarctica and one of the earliest citizens of Westarctica, having become a citizen while the country was still known as the Achaean Territory of Antarctica.

Biography

Miles became a citizen of the Achaean Territory of Antarctica in 2003 and was granted the title Viscount Thurston, which gave him control of Thurston Island. A few months later, the Achaean Territory evolved into the Grand Duchy of Westarctica and all titles were modified. Miles found his title lowered to Baron of Ward. However, he struck a deal with Grand Duke Travis that he would be raised to the dignity of earl/count upon his 18th birthday.

As the months and years passed, his involvement with Westarctica faded away and he was no longer considered an active member of the Baronage.

In 2018, Miles reached out to Grand Duke Travis to discuss WestarcticaCoin, a cryptocurrency which had recently been released by the government. At this time, he also reminded the Grand Duke about their previous arrangement to elevate his title to "Earl of Thurston" when he came of age. Although the title of earl was no longer in general usage in Westarctica, Grand Duke Travis immediately proceeded to raise him to count. Due to the fact that Thurston Island had already been granted to the Princess of Thurston, he was instead ennobled as the Count of Ward.
