Count of Kohler
His Lordship, the Count of Kohler, Joseph Day, is a member of the Hereditary Nobility of Westarctica. He has been a part of Westarctica since 2001, making him one of the Old Guard. His title is derived from the Kohler Range. During the period between the establishment of the Grand Ducal Mandate and the reorganization of the Baronage, Joseph briefly held no title.
Titles
Duke of Walgreen
Joseph was granted the title "Duke of Walgreen" on 15 November 2001. This title was bestowed to him at the same time the Consul-General gave titles to a small handful of his closest friends. It was anticipated that after his friends had been granted titles in the Baronage, they would rise to the challenge of being a peer and begin working to make the Achaean Territory of Antarctica a sovereign nation.
On 5 September 2003, the Duchy of Walgreen, which included the entirety of the Walgreen Coast, was divided into three earldoms. With this decree, Joseph gained the ability to appoint earls directly under him. These titles would be mediatized and report directly to him.
Count of Kohler
On 1 October 2004, after the Achaean Territory had transitioned into Westarctica, all titles in the Baronage were reduced in status. As part of this reorganization, Joseph's title was reduced from Duke to Count. Dominion over the Walgreen Coast was given to the Marquise of Walgreen.
