|Marquis de Kramer|
Knight of the Sword
|In Office||18 March 2021 - Present|
|Preceded by||Count of Dendtler|
Early involvement with Westarctica
A longtime friend of Grand Duke Travis, Kramer expressed interest in becoming a citizen of Westarctica as early as 2014. His first involvement with the activities of the nation was his attendance at the 2016 Royal Polo Match in Los Angeles, California. After conversing with other Westarcticans, he requested to be appointed Grand Inquisitor. However, as this position did not already exist, his request was declined.
Career in the Royal Guards
On 22 November 2020, Kramer enlisted in the Westarctican Royal Guards. Due to his previous military service in the United States Army and his excellent physical condition, he enlisted at the rank of corporal (E-2). The same day as his enlistment, Corporal Kramer participated in Exercise: MOSTLY HARMLESS, a Command and Control exercise onboard the training simulator WS Endurance, where he served as the weapons officer. Kramer's proficiency with tactics and his excellent service during this exercise were cited as reasons for his subsequent promotion to Lieutenant (O-1). He was also knighted in the Noble Order of the Sword.
On 3 January 2021, LT Kramer participated in a four hour training exercise onboard the WS Endurance simulator where he helped pioneer the Multi-Vector Assault strategy to overcome multiple hostile targets.
On 24 January 2021, he again served as weapons officer in Command and Control Exercise: UTMOST with forces from the micronation Slabovia. After this exercise, he became eligible for the C2 Training Ribbon for surpassing 12 hours of time in the training simulator.
Close protection service
In April 2021, LT Kramer accompanied Grand Duke Travis on a two week expedition to Egypt. During this trip, he provided close protection services to the Grand Duke in conjunction with a local security officer and other police forces assigned by the Egyptian government.
In early 2021, the Government of Westarctica experienced several major changes in personnel and it was decided that the Count of Dendtler should no longer serve in the position of Captain-General of Calsahara. As the only other member of the Royal Guards still on active duty, LT Kramer was selected as his replacement.
